Position Description:

The Partner Relationship Managers will provide account recruitment and management services to IBM Business Partners in the European Region. Partner Relationship Managers will work directly over the phone with the recruited Business Partners to identify what their current business requirements are and which key programs will drive them to achieve these business requirements. Knowledge of IBM Hardware (Blade, Cluster, Power Servers, System x and Storage Devices) or IBM Software (WebSphere, DB2 etc) is a definite asset. The ability to quickly answer questions and direct the partner through the process to full engagement as an IBM Partner is the criteria for success. Training and tools are provided.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

These roles will be of interest to someone who likes communicating with many different Partners, is technically inclined and works well in a team environment but is also capable of working independently. The ability to converse professionally in the relevant European native language is a must.

  • At least 2-4 years in a sales oriented Service Center or Call Center role.
  • Previous experience working with Customer Sales, Marketing Managers in a team environment.
  • Excellent skills in positioning and successfully delivering value propositions to Partners by guiding them through the Partner enablement/activation process quickly and efficiently.
  • Ability to quickly understand Partner needs and be able to tailor your conversations to different type services and programs to fit those needs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent research capabilities.

The following will be considered a definite asset:

  • Knowledge of a sales methodology.
  • Knowledge of IBM Software or Hardware products.
  • IBM Sales or Marketing certifications.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Emphasis is on Word, Excel and email utilization.
