Job Summary:
The incumbent will be responsible for controlling and dispensing medication, monitoring medical usage, and providing drug information. He or she will participate in the development and application of the principles of pharmaceutical care in the field of nephrology. The successful candidate will provide drug information and a pharmacokinetic dosing service for aminoglycosides and renally excreted drugs. He or she will provide medication education to patients and health care professionals and provide computerized drug distribution services, including medication order review, chemotherapy and parenteral nutrition.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Pharmacy from a university recognized by the New Brunswick Pharmaceutical Society;
- Registered member of the New Brunswick Pharmaceutical Society and licensed to practice in New Brunswick;
- Participation in the hospital pharmacy residency program considered an asset;
- Knowledge of French essential; knowledge of English considered an asset.
