We are currently seeking high caliber Senior PDS Piping Designers to work on a contract basis.  Based in Calgary, you will be working for one of the world’s leading engineering, procurement and construction companies to the Oil, Gas & Petrochemical sector.

You will have knowledge of and/or experience in the following:

• Preparing layouts and conceptual designs for difficult and complex problems
• Preparing and checking complex engineering and design drawings
• Interfacing with other design disciplines
• Providing direction to and guidance on 2D & 3D CAD design
• Working independently with little or no supervision
• Performing squad checks of vendor equipment drawings and drawings from other disciplines
• Reviewing fabricator drawings
• Assisting a Design Supervisor
• Communicating, both verbally and in written form, in a professional manner
• Evaluating performance appraisal input and administering counseling
• Traveling as required to ensure successful execution of project and/or department goals
• Participating in department training programs/seminars and online training

You must have experience in:

• Working for an EPC company
• Refinery, petrochemical and power industry piping design and equipment layout
• Using Intergraph 3D PDS

Qualifications:

• minimum 7+ years related experience for senior role.
