| The Ideal Candidate |
Ideally, you are a highly skilled professional as you will be responsible for the survey fieldwork on a wide range of surveying and engineering projects.
You have experience with:
- Structural steel, anchor bolts
- Optical/laser alignments
- Managing volumes for site- tracking excavation volumes and calculations
- Management of multiple crews
- Communication and planning
- Legal experience- boundary surveys, etc
- General construction experience- laying out of building, man holes, etc.

| Job Description |
In most cases, a Crew Chief will be responsible but not limited to:
Leading a crew and conducting surveys to determine the precise location and measurement of points, lines, elevations, area, contours, utilities and facilities for map preparation; land subdivision; record drawings; title or other related purposes using boundary surveys, topography surveys, construction stake-outs, static, RTK and GPS surveys.

| Responsibilities |
- Support the daily activities of a survey field crew
- Operating survey instruments and devices
- Cutting the monumentation of boundary lines
- Overall Care/Maintenance of survey equipment
- Preparation of detailed field notes of survey activities
|
| Requirements |
• Successfully completed a recognized Survey Technology program or equivalent work experience
• Minimum 3 years experience as a crew chief
• Demonstrated willingness to learn is essential
• Ability to function within a team environment essential
• Highly motivated self starter
• Familiarity with engineering, architectural and survey plans
• Familiarity with concepts of surfaces, contours, alignments, and profiles
• Knowledge of general survey procedures
• Familiarity with line creation by azimuth/distance and work with curves based on coordinate geometry
• Excellent mathematical skills
• Attention to detail essential
• Previous experience performing construction layout and legal surveys preferred
