| Job Description |
Reporting directly to the Director, Human Resources, you will be responsible for providing HR leadership and consultation services within the company. |
| Responsibilities |
Key Responsabilities:
-Provide effective coaching, counseling and guidance to employees who directly report to you. -Strategic leader in the creation of, and implementation of HR initiatives and programs. -Manages company's performance management, corrective action and disciplinary process. -Provides advice to managers and supervisors in the day-to-day interpretation, application, administration and resolution of bargaining unit-wide issues and policy grievances. -Assists management staff with the early identification and resolution of employee relations issues. -Promotes, encourages and fosters a positive and cooperative Labour Relations environment amongst Union, management and employee groups, including education and proactive endeavors. -Plans, develops and implements new strategies and processes for improved HR relations and consultation in accordance with business interests and objectives. -Maintains currency with labour law, legislative change, arbitration cases, Union issues and structures, and other major events/ matters with potential major ER/LR impacts;

| Requirements |
Qualifications and Requirements:
-Degree and or a diploma in Human Resources and/or Industrial Relations or equivalent. Working towards or completion of CHRP an asset. -Minimum 5 years human resource generalist experience with 2 years minimum in a management/supervisory role and 2 years in Labour Relations. -Excellent oral, written, negotiation, influencing, presentation, communications and interpersonal skills; -Strong coaching and conflict resolution skills. -Demonstrated ability to analyze complex LR issues and to provide sound, reasoned and reliable advice to HR, managers and key stakeholders; -Superior knowledge of HR/LR related Canadian federal and provincial laws. -Demonstrated ability to build, foster and maintain positive and beneficial relationships with Bargaining Agents, Union officials and representatives; -Excellent planning, organizational, issues management and expediting skills -Demonstrated understanding and in depth knowledge of labour unions, knowledge of union structures and strategies; -Ability to maintain integrity of confidential information -Good knowledge of core HR processes and policies
