Bilingual Mechanical Engineer

Technip Canada has an immediate opening for a Bilingual Mechanical Engineer to be located at Technip's flexible pipe manufacturing facility, in Le Trait, Normandy, France and thereafter in Technip Canada's offices in St. John's, Newfoundland. 

As a key member of our project delivery team, you will act as Technip Canada's representative for the safe delivery of the flexible pipe for one of the largest subsea projects currently being executed in the North Sea and Canada region. Reporting directly to the Flexible Pipe Package Manager in St. John's, your duties will include the following:

  • Liason between the St. John's based project delivery team and the Manufacturing Unit Project Administrator on all technical and schedule
    matters;
  • Act as a point of contact for Client Representatives on technical or schedule matters relating to company projects;
  • Witness operations critical to company performance;
  • Assist in project mobilization.

The posting in Europe will last approximately one year. Thereafter, you will relocate to Technip's offices in St. John's, Newfoundland. You should ideally hold an Engineering Degree with a minimum two years post graduate experience.
