Director, Events Marketing
Our client, one of Canada's leading, integrated public relations, advertising, research, strategic marketing, broadcast and new media production firms, is seeking an experienced and creative professional in the role of Director, Events Marketing.
Reporting through the Executive Chair to the Executive Team, you will be charged with creating and executing an aggressive growth program aimed at geographic expansion of the event marketing business across several key areas including: major events development, sponsorship sales and activation, speakers' bureau, and promotional marketing. You will actively manage all aspects of the business unit's activities including planning, budgeting, business development, and project management. You will also manage external relationships with clients and a variety of suppliers and partners, and will serve on the firm's senior management team.
As the ideal candidate, you have a post-secondary education combined with several years of senior-level experience in an event marketing role during which time you have demonstrated success in creating, driving and executing industry-transforming events. In addition to your proven management abilities and your creative and inventive approach to events, you have also proven your credibility and earned the trust of clients, co-workers and others, across Canada and beyond. As an effective communicator, you have the ability to coach and motivate your employees and have established a solid track record of successfully building relationships. Possessing excellent interpersonal skills, you work well with others and can provide strategic direction and clear thinking to your team.
