As Lead Business Analyst you will direct the analysis of enterprise-wide, complex client needs in the area of new business processes, business requirements, user acceptance testing to improve efficiencies of operating divisions.  You will participate in leadership and influence of cross-functional task forces or teams to identify and document functional requirements, workflow, information sources and system specifications through the development of detailed analysis and providing recommendations. 

Other areas of responsibility include the opportunity to possibly perform the role of Project Manager on medium sized projects in meeting regularly with the user groups in all divisions to identify opportunities for enhancements.  Strong sense of communciation of functional developments and enhancements to user groups through various media (Web, Email, On-site training) is required through the acceptance of applications and application enhancements via a formal test process.

This exciting opportunity offers a Lead Business Analyst to assess scope and impact of client business needs and manage client expectations by establishing service level agreements.  Experience with SAP is a strong asset.

  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or Business Extensive experience gathering business requirements, business process reengineering, application testing and project managment.
  • A thorough understanding of the retail industry.
  • Provide on the job training on requirements techniques and methodologies.
  • Ability to initiate, plan, execute, monitor and control projects.
  • Ability to choose, recommend, create and/or adopt techniques, standards and methodologies to apply to the business analysis discipline.    
  • Project management and software development disciplines.
  • Ability to perform and evaluate risk and to communicate and escalate issues.
  • Experience leading junior staff as appropriate Knowledgeable in holding requirements gathering sessions Ability to prototype at the requirements stage to firm up and validate requirements.
  • Ability to walkthrough the detailed application requirements document with the users of the system and make any final modifications.   
  • Seek final sign-off of the detailed application requirements from the business sponsor.
  • Improve business processes by defining the existing "As-Is" process and the new "To-Be" process using proper methodologies.
