Position Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable primarily as provider, coordinator, leader and advocate of quality patient-centered care. The RN utilizes assessment, problem identification, learning potential, coaching, teaching and education skills to assist patients to manage actual and/or potential health problems arising from responses to their health-illness experience.
Qualifications:
- Current Registration (or eligibility) with the College of Registered Nurses of Nova Scotia is required.
- 23 years Current extensive experience in nursing preferred.
- CCNP certification is required or willingness to obtain.
- Demonstrated ability to cope with multiple demands in a dynamic work setting required.
- Demonstrated competence in interpersonal interactions required
- Ability to function both as a team member and independently required.
- Previous work attendance may be considered.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered for this position.
