Project Manager - Engineering

Our client is a leading international organization seeking a skilled project manager to join their leadership team in Halifax, NS. If you have a strong technical background in energy solutions and a proven record in delivering excellent customer service we want to hear from you.

Skills and Competencies:

• Eng. (Mechanical or Electrical) with PMP designation preferred or equivalent experience.
• 5 +years of direct project and construction management related to building systems (HVAC, lighting, electrical).
• Experience in cost and schedule estimation related to building systems 
• Ability to work in stressful environment while prioritizing / executing multiple projects / activities.
• Develop energy sources and conservation strategies.
• Experience in the sales process as it relates to Performance Contracting.
• Have strong communication skills (written, verbal and presentation).
• Ability to manage conflict effectively.
• Accountable for full project budget – up to $1,000,000
• Experience in negotiation, conflict management and team building skills.
• Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service.
• Posses a commitment to the continuous improvement process (six sigma and lean methods).

Position Responsibilities:

• Lead and direct the assigned project team members, site coordinators, and other support staff.
• Direct and manage the execution processes for project management and construction management of energy related solutions. 
• Improvement in the areas of speed to market, cost, quality, customer value and results. 
• Maintain sufficient technical manpower to execute and grow the business while operating in accordance with the corporate behaviors.
• Support the Sales Team with technical resources in the preparation of proposals and presentations.
• To attain the project's revenue and profit projections.
• Work with capital to meet or exceed the Region requirements.
• Manage key project and operations metrics for the assigned project.
• Post-project reviews with the intention of identifying best practices.
• Collaborate with other Project Managers to develop operational standards as driven by metrics and learning from post-project reviews.
• Deliver a high level of customer satisfaction consistently
