Location: major center in the Maritime Provinces

This is a position that will appeal to a senior manager with proven leadership skills who recognizes the crucial link between IT and business strategy.

In the role of the Chief Information Officer, you will drive and implement strategies that leverage technology to gain a competitive business advantage. Collaborating directly with the executive management team as well as decision makers in other divisions, you will identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization.

With the track record of a results oriented leader, you have cross functional expertise in strategic planning, project management, continuous improvement, business application services, systems analysis and financial planning & management.

An exceptional communicator, you have the ability to translate technical concepts and make them easily understood by all stakeholders. Leading by example you will inspire and motivate a team of professionals who will contribute to improvements in organizational performance.

To succeed in this key role, you will have a minimum of 10 years experience in a similar leadership capacity, along with an undergraduate degree (a Master's degree would be a definite asset). You should also have the ability to analyze and resolve complex issues, exceptional analytical skills, and strong interpersonal and communications skills.

While an IT orientation essential, as important is an understanding of how an efficient and effective IT department contributes to the overall success of the organization.
