Application Integration Architect
The Application Integration Architect is responsible for managing the integration framework supporting a services based architecture. Familiar with multiple integration frameworks including webMethods, Oracle Fusion Middleware and MSFT Biztalk, the Application Integration Architect provides a comprehensive approach to the integration challenges of a large and diverse ecosystem of applications. The Application Integration Architect is the key leader for the development and deployment of a Services Orientated Framework which utilizes existing systems to enable shared services within the organization and Electronic Data Interchange for customers and partners.
Role
- Provides architecture planning, consultation and definition.
- Responsible for architecting, building and maintaining an infrastructure that is capable of handling current and future needs.
- Builds and develops integration competency across the enterprise.
- Provides application expertise – make recommendations for best usage of the various components of the ESB Integration Platform.
- Defines standards and procedures (e.g., code promotion, source/version control, naming standards, code review).
- Provides consulting services to help application development teams design, develop, and rollout integration projects.
- Defines operational procedures and Level 2 support to the operations teams for middleware and integration problems.
- Oversees incident and problem management – monitor quality of service and performance.
- Manages a component repository (e.g., commonly-used maps, etc).
- Addresses and resolves conflicting goals and priorities.
Position Requirements:
Required Skills:
- University degree in the field of computer science, information systems or software engineering, and 9+ years equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 5+ years in a technical leadership role responsible for the delivery of integrated solutions using SOA frameworks.
- Experience with both Web Methods and Oracle Fusion mandatory.
- Experience with EDI standards and B2B messaging protocols.
- Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
Desired Skills
- Excellent understanding of software development best practices.
- Provide input and authorization for change control measures and direction on data migration strategies to production
- Broad base of IT experience relating to Database Management, Web Development, Application frameworks, Deployment procedures, Automated testing strategies, Development strategies
- Experience with Agile Development methodologies. LEAN, SCRUM, or XP
- Highly self motivated and directed.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
