Job Description:

We are seeking customer-focused dynamic team players that thrive in a fast-paced environment to provide professional and attentive insurance advice and solutions to our customers.

This position is primarily responsible for proactively identifying needs, offering value added advice and solutions, opportunity spotting, and by taking accountability for the resolution of customer concerns. You will demonstrate the essentials of customer care at all times, ensuring customers receive optimal service at a level that meets or exceeds their needs, developing relationships and generating referral business.

Requirements:

  • Two years of previous sales experience
  • Post secondary education or equivalent experience in lieu
  • Previous experience in insurance and/or service capacity considered an asset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; bilingualism in French & English is considered an asset
  • Superior time management and organizational abilities
  • Self-starter with proven initiative and ability to work with little or no supervision
  • Sound decision-making skills
  • Strong computer skills, including demonstrated proficiency with MS Office products
  • Life Agent License considered an asset (Training is provided)

Key Accountabilities:

  • Insurance product sales (Property & Casualty, Life & Health, and Travel insurance)
  • Identify other client investment or banking needs and refer to partners where appropriate (i.e., Mortgage specialist, Investment & Retirement Planner, Bank sales person)
  • Support retention of existing insurance business by acting as a single point of contact for customers in renewing and servicing insurance products
  • Provide complete solutions to customer concerns/problems, escalating where necessary and appropriate
  • Maintain focus on client retention, building client strategies and action plans including contact and follow-up
  • Practice opportunity spotting
  • Assist with branch business growth goals and revenue targets
  • Generate referrals, sales activities and contribute to superior client care
  • Follow through on centrally generated and self-diarized leads and retention
  • Maximize the use of technology and maintain data integrity, documenting all relevant client sales and service contacts and results

Experience:   Minimum 2 years

Education:   High School Diploma / GED
