Title: Residential counsellor - group home (Residential Care Workers)

Terms of Employment: Casual, Part Time, Weekend, Night, Evening

Salary: $12.00 Hourly for app. 20+ hours per week

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Skill Requirements:

• Education: Completion of high school for some sites, Completion of college/Human Service Counselor for other sites, Some university, Completion of university
• Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Human Services Diploma
• Experience: Experience an asset
• Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
• Work Setting: Group home
• Target Groups or Clients: Male, Female, Children, Adolescents and Adults
• Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure
• Ability to Supervise: 5-10 people
• Security and Safety: Criminal record check, Social Development Check
• Essential Skills: Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, De-escalation Skills
• Other Information: Must be flexible with work hours and availability. Assistance with completion of case plan objectives. Must be able to work overnight shifts and a variety of shifts.
