Diagnostics Sales Representative
Location: Halifax

Our client, a global leader in Hospital Diagnostics is searching for an innovative Sales Representative with Diagnostics Sales experience based in Halifax, covering Atlantic Canada. 

In this role, you will be selling product lines to clinics, hospitals, and medical laboratories at hospitals throughout Atlantic Canada.

Responsibilities include:

  • Territory forecasting.
  • Sell company products within territory; grow the business while developing long lasting relationships with key stake holders.
  • Work, as required with other organizational units within the company (Marketing, Financing, Accounting, Customer Service, Technical Control Center, Human Resources, etc.) in order to support, maintain, and grow the business and meet the company’s objectives, vision, and mission.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for maintaining and growing business in territory.
  • Display and demonstrate instrument product line.
  • Quote prices and credit terms and prepare sales contracts for orders obtained.
  • Estimate date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm’s production and delivery schedules.
  • Monitor territory reagent business/trends.
  • Develop and maintain relationships and maintain company image with customer.
  • Work with Technical Marketing Representative.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with purchasing contacts.
  • Establish local relationships and maintains company image with customers.
  • Investigate and resolve customer problems with deliveries.
  • Participation in trade shows as required.
  • Monitor work to ensure quality, and continuously promotes Quality First Time
    Accountability.
  • Manage sales budget and goals.

Requirements:  To be considerer for this innovative sales opportunity, you must have previous sales experience in the Diagnostics field.  You must have an established base of contacts in Hospital labs within Atlantic Canada and you must be well connected with Hospital purchasing departments within the region.  Candidates must also have a university degree and must be comfortable in a clinical setting dealing with highly scientific data.  You must be prepared to do extensive travel throughout the region.
