B2B Account Manager – Transportation Sales
Our client is seeking a talented individual to fill the role of Account Manager.
In this position, you will be responsible for building business through identifying new opportunities, selling freight transportation services, maintaining and building relationships with clients. You will also identify client needs, prepares reports and presentations.
Candidate Profile:
- 3+ years experience in truck transportation
- The ability to plan and prioritize personal sales activities and customer/prospect contact
- Manage product mix, pricing and margins according to agreed aims
- Communicate at a high level with the ability to present to Senior Executives
- Maintain and develop existing and new customers
- Computer literacy and familiarity with MS Office products
- Self driven and results-oriented
- A high sense of personal responsibility
- Excellent customer service and relationship building skills
Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for expanding business within your territory, maintaining current accounts and creating strong relationships.
Knowledge of the transportation and/or food industries, as well as familiarity with the Halifax area and established business contacts, will help you to succeed in this role.
