Our client a growing Engineering firm with multiple locations has an opening for a Senior Project Engineer on their Moncton, New Brunswick team. As a Senior Project Engineer you will provide expert engineering advice to the Company's clients and ensure continuous business development through the effective use of human resources. Your time will be divided in Engineering, Project Management, Leadership and Business Development.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Have an excellent knowledge of design of municipal infrastructure including water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, roads, water treatment, wastewater treatment, highways and roads;
• Oversee the design of specific projects including coordination of drafting personnel, guidance of technical staff, Client liaison, technical reviews, preparation of project specifications and solving complex engineering problems;
• Prepare technical reports; 
• Maintain currency with specific technical or design software and word processing and spreadsheet software; 
• Oversee cost monitoring, control & schedule on projects; communication with the Client
• Manage contractor relations for projects through the tendering and construction phases;
• Ensures application of the Company's ISO 9001-2000 Quality System.
• Effectively manage the financial and human resources to execute projects and achieve business goals;
• Lead and collaborate on new engineering projects;
• Assist in defining and establishing performance targets for projects;
• Prepare proposals and develop project opportunities with existing and new clients;
• Build and maintain business relationships; 
• Ensures delivery of client requirements as per contractual agreements.
• Ability to work  on the road, on project sites and within the office in various conditions.

Education and Expertise Required: 

• Must hold a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from a university recognized by the APEGNB 
• Must be eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer in the APEGNB 
• Solid experience in the design, operation, and/or construction of municipal infrastructure (water systems, wastewater systems & treatment, transportation & highway design)
• Extensive experience in leading and managing people and projects;
• Competence in the use of word processing, spreadsheet software and design software;
• Excellent competence in the use of the Internet for product and information research;
• Must have a minimum of ten (10) years experience.
• Ability to take initiative, have a strong desire to succeed 
• Proven ability to motivate, coach and mentor personnel towards success and towards achievement of established company goals;
• Solid skills to effectively apply project management tools, skills and knowledge 
• Problem solving skills – an ability to effectively problem solve.
