Position Title: Account Representative
Position Description:
Our Company, a leader in the Canadian tobacco industry, is seeking a dynamic person to fill a position that can lead to very promising career opportunities.
Based out of Clarenville, Newfoundland, you will be a territory representative, in which your communication, negotiation and conceptual skills, your analytical abilities and autonomy will all be used to analyze the market, study the competition as well as find and apply new strategies designed to increase the presence and visibility of the company's products.
The position currently available is a 1 year Contract with possibilities of renewal and we offer a competitive salary at $50,550.

Key Results Areas:
- Works within an assigned geographic territory;
- To build benchmark relationships with defined clients within the tobacco category in particular
- Fulfill market demand for products by maintaining ideal inventory levels and achieve distribution targets for the given brand portfolio. To this end ensuring that products are available, fresh, visible* and competitively priced for purchase within a given territory.
- To secure and to correctly capture sales orders of products from customers.
- Ensure financial reconciliation and payment collection activities are efficiently and accurately completed.
- Achieve the TM&D/regional/district objectives through effective and efficient implementation of cycle activities and regional/district activities.
- Provide appropriate level of service to assigned customers through achievement of the coverage and call objectives on a daily basis.
- Negotiate contracts with retailers, respond to their questions, issues and concerns, and monitor contract compliance.
- Ensure accurate information gathering, recording, sharing and analyzing.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of all administrative activities.
- Ensure effective and efficient use of all resources (time, materials etc.), budget management.
- Being a mobile and flexible resource to fill vacancies and perform activities on an ad hoc basis when and if so required.
- Assist in the training, coaching and mentoring of new and existing representatives.

Technical Competencies:
- University/ College degree in marketing, business or related field
- Bilingual
- Problem solving capabilities (logical)
- Good Business Acumen
- Salesmanship, marketing and negotiations skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Decision making, planning and organization skills
- Computer literate, technical proficiencies
- Willing to work anywhere in Maritime Canada an asset
- 1 to 2 years experience in sales, customer service or merchandising, an asset
