Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Manager, District UItrasound, the Ultrasonographer must organize and perform Ultrasound examinations, in an efficient and professional manner. The Sonographer participates in the training, education, and orientation of other Sonographers, Residents and students. The Sonographer demonstrates the core competencies of Capital Health in the performance of the duties of this position, which include: collaboration, accountability, respect, and excellence.
Qualifications:
* Grade XII
* Health Technology diploma from an accredited school or equivalent
* Applicants must have successfully completed an approved registered program and have current registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography as well as be registered with the Canadian Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers
* Registration with the Canadian Association of Registered Diagnostic Ultrasound Professionals preferred
* Experience in abdominal/pelvic, OBS/GYN, doppler, and small parts ultrasound imaging, as well as in-depth knowledge of computer applications (RIS/PACS) in a hospital setting is preferred
* Excellent interpersonal, communications and organizational skills
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively and accurately, both autonomously and as an effective team member
Hours of Work:
Permanent full-time position; 75 hours biweekly
Salary: Ultrasonographer:
$27.2661 - $31.8196 hourly
