Our Burlington client is currently looking to fill the role of Intermediate Accountant. If you're an individual who values attention to detail, has a strong ability to maintain effective relationships and is able to maintain ongoing knowledge of accounting and industry practices and trends, this could be just the role for you. |
| Responsibilities |
Reporting to the Controller, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Preparing monthly financial statements on a timely basis for various companies within the organization as a whole - Update and maintain reporting schedules - Provide analysis/reports/recommendations to operations and finance teams as requested - Manage risk for the transportation operations of the company - Play an integral role in action plans, providing support to project leaders - Budgeting/Forecasting - Investigate and resolve issues identified in the reconciliation process - Maintain on-going knowledge of accounting and industry practices and trends - Participate in industry associations and attend related conferences |
| Requirements |
Successful candidates will have:
- An undergraduate degree in accounting, finance or commerce - Demonstrated aptitude to perform analysis - Intermediate knowledge of MS Office and Great Plains
Candidates must also be pursuing a professional designation (CGA/CMA) in the 2nd or 3rd year
