Our Classified Advertising Department has an immediate need for an Outbound Sales Representative. The Outbound Sales Representative is responsible for calling prospective customers to sell advertising solutions in our newspapers.

Qualifications:

• High school completion
• 1-2 years of direct sales experience
• Computer skills required (Microsoft applications)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, (bilingualism English/French is considered an asset)
• Solid negotiating skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task
• Effective organizational, time management and planning skills
• Strong customer service orientation
• Cold calling ability

Responsibilities:

• Meeting monthly sales targets by prospecting and making outbound phone calls to sell advertising
• Designing and processing advertisement and reviewing for accuracy prior to publishing
• Working with credit and billing departments to resolve customer issues
