Vice President, Marketing

Ocean Nutrition Canada (ONC) is the global category leader of Omega-3 fatty acids for the dietary supplement and healthy food ingredient markets.  They offer both an exciting career challenge along with quality of life in Nova Scotia, Canada’s Ocean Playground.  ONC, located in Halifax/Dartmouth, is home to North America’s largest privately owned and well funded marine research development facility.  The company is expected to grow by over 200% in the next three years by continuing to build upon the health food ingredients category.  This is your chance to have a significant impact on the growth potential for this global leader.

Reporting to the Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, the Vice President of Marketing will build a comprehensive marketing strategy while creating and implementing marketing initiatives which identify and maximize the best opportunities for worldwide market growth.  You will build the marketing strategy and ensure consistent alignment with the overall business strategy.  You will have full cycle responsibility for marketing plans that focus on ‘value add’ for product line end users that will ensure competitive advantage in the marketplace. You will play a key role in both internal and external communications.  You will lead a team of marketing professionals in developing consumer analytics, developing forecasts and monitoring results and provide sound strategic advice that supports overall business objectives. 

As an energetic leader with a true understanding of consumer trends and purchasing habits, you have least 10 years experience leading a marketing team within either a consumer packaged goods or pharmaceutical environment.  You have a terrific marketing mind and personify marketing in everything you do. Known for successfully implementing creative, world class marketing initiatives, you have had a clear impact on business performance in a new product development arena. You are a self starter with a strategic vision for marketing and market development.  You are a collaborative coach with the strength of character, communication skills and relationship building expertise to garner support and respect with customers, staff, business partners, and senior management alike.  You achieve results and are determined to bring the marketing and sales teams together to reach their full potential.  International marketing experience would be considered an asset.
