Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Principal Investigator (PI) and/or the Research Manager, the Research Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of research projects conducted within Capital Health. This coordination includes the administration of the study/clinical trial, caring for the subjects participating in the study and the management of documents and data collected throughout the study period.

Qualifications:
* Degree or diploma in Nursing
* Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Nova Scotia (CRNNS)
* CCRP (Certified Clinical Research Professional) or CCRA (Certified Clinical Research Associate) an asset
* Minimum of two years experience in Nursing
* Clinical experience in Hematology and/or Oncology
* Previous research experience preferred
* Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint), email and internet
* Demonstrated assessment skills related to o thrombosis and/or oncology patients
* Effective interpersonal, communication and teaching skills
* Superior time management and organizational skills
* Effective research and analytical thinking skills
* Ability to work well independently as well as within a multidisciplinary team environment
* Transportation of Dangerous Goods certification (required if shipping specimens)

Hours of Work:
* Long Assignment Full-Time Position; 75 hours bi-weekly
* Beginning July 20, 2009 with an anticipated end date of May 28, 2012

Salary: Research Coordinator:

$25.174 - 31.5218 hourly
