Responsibilities:
Location: Strait Richmond Hospital, Port Hawkesbury Satellite Dialysis Clinic, NS.
Reporting to the Health Services Manager Outpatient Nephrology the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing a safe and effective hemodialysis treatment to selected patients under the direction of the Health Services Manager Outpatient Nephrology . The LPN is also responsible for the maintenance of the satellite clinic under the direction of the Health Services Manager Outpatient Nephrology.
Qualifications:
* Graduate of a recognized Licensed Practical Nursing course and current certification in Nova Scotia
* Medication course required
* Possess a valid Nova Scotia drivers license and have access to suitable transportation
* Preferred that candidates live in immediate surrounding area, preferably a 50 km radius of the clinic location
* Hemodialysis experience preferred
* Current CPR
* Candidate must be self-motivated, able to work with little supervision and possess good interpersonal and communication skills
* Good manual dexterity and demonstrate an aptitude for technical equipment
Hours of Work:
* Casual Relief Position
Salary: Licensed Practical Nurse:
$19.4808 - $21.7536 Hourly
