We are recruiting for a Project Accountant for our office in Saint John, NB.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Take a lead role in the accounting for large industrial projects.
• Assist the Corporate Controller on various projects as required.
• Period-end and Year-end reporting and analysis.
• Daily interaction with internal and external customers.
• Provide leadership and direction to a team of A/R and A/P staff to ensure a consistent workflow is maintained in the department.

Qualifications:

• Successful completion of a business degree or community college program with a focus in accounting.
• Minimum 1 to 2 years experience in an accounting position, ideally in a construction environment.
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.
• A self started with an ability to work in a fast paced environment with minimal supervision; both independently and within a team environment.
• Excellent computer and Microsoft Office skills.
• Construction specific finance and job cost software knowledge would be considered an asset.
