River Valley Health has an immediate opportunity for a permanent full-time Clinical Child Psychologist at the Stan Cassidy Centre for Rehabilitation in Fredericton.  The Centre is a tertiary-level rehabilitation facility providing specialized services to patients onsite or via outreach clinics throughout the province.

As a member of the interdisciplinary Paediatric Team, the incumbent will provide developmental and psychological assessment and intervention for children with complex neurological disorders; formulate recommendations for families and caregivers; offer consultation to team members, other professionals and school personnel across NB; provide education/training for professionals in topics related to neuropsychological disorders and rehabilitation; supervise students/residents during practicum and/or internship.  There are opportunities to carry a small clinical caseload.

Qualifications:

• Doctorate in Developmental/Clinical Psychology from an accredited university with experience and expertise in paediatric rehabilitation (candidates who have completed all of their academic requirements and expect to complete their dissertation will be considered)
• Current registration, or eligible for registration, with the College of Psychologists of New Brunswick
• Oral interaction, reading and writing skills in English and oral interaction in French as demonstrated by a level 2+ certificate from the Department of Post-Secondary Education, Training and Labour
• Demonstrated organizational, communication, interpersonal and team-building skills
• Demonstrated abilities to implement and supervise a rehabilitation program
