Senior Geologist
Our client, Corridor Resources Incorporated, is a Halifax, Nova Scotia based company focused on exploring and developing natural gas resources. As a member of the exploitation group the Senior Geologist will be responsible for a variety of assignments requiring a broad knowledge of exploration and development geology related to unconventional natural gas developments. The Senior Geologist will work closely with G&G staff, reservoir and drilling/completions groups as well as a number of external consulting firms. This position will be based out of Corridor Resources office in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Reporting to the Chief Geologist, the Senior Geologist will play an integral role in maximizing Corridor's investment through the exploration and development of its current and future land holdings.
The Senior Geologist will be required to evaluate land sales, assist in the supervision of actively drilling wells and evaluate exploration/development of new wells. In addition the Senior Geologist will be responsible for Geological mapping of producing reservoirs and integrate core and log data into reservoir models/completion programs.
The ideal background will include a Bachelors degree in Geology coupled with five to fifteen years of exploration/development experience in an oil and gas company. Experience in tight sand or shale gas would be an asset. Proven problem solving skills with the ability to multi-task and attention to detail are a must. Knowledge of legislation, regulations and guidelines related to oil and gas exploration, development and production will be an asset. The candidate must be a team player, with the ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups.
