Volunteer: Mascot Agent
Fifteen thousand, eight hundred and sixteen hellos and bonjours
And 10,000 helping hands. We need you, and all of your friends, in just one short year to help put on the largest multi-sport event that Halifax has ever hosted. More than 5,000 volunteers will be needed from February 11-27, 2011 to form the backbone of the Games. From IT Services, to Mascot Support to Athlete Village Operations – there's something for everyone.
This role is responsible for receiving requests, scheduling mascot appearances, and communicating upcoming appearances to the Community Relations Coordinator. They will also be identifying possible opportunities for appearances during the Games.
Applicants for this role must be able to troubleshoot without delay and act accordingly. Have great organizational skills. Experience working with mascots an asset. Mascot agents are needed from the Spring, 2010 until the end of February, 2011.
Volunteers will be required to complete appropriate background checks for this role, including a Criminal Records’ Check. Details about the background checks process will be supplied to applicants as they move through the selection process.
