Miramichi Regional Hospital

The 183-bed hospital provides a full compliment of medical specialists and offers a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services. It is considered to be a leader in technology and was the first hospital in the Atlantic Provinces to have complete digital imaging capabilities in its diagnostic imaging department. It was also the first in Canada to have its patient care units equipped with a Smart Link nurse locator system that allows better response time from nurses to the patients.

The Miramichi Regional Hospital is an accredited institution and presently has a 3-year accreditation status. Accreditation is a process by which the Canadian Council of Health Services Accreditation rates the hospital on a variety of levels, mostly patient satisfaction. The Hospital Corporation has consistently received the highest accreditation status possible.
