The first step in applying for an NSCC position is to refer to our Job Postings listed below. Click on the employment opportunity in which you are interested and read the detailed description of the position. Satisfied that you meet the stated requirements of the position, click on "Apply now on-line" and follow the application instructions. If you have questions at any stage of the application process, look for this symbol which will link you to a comprehensive help section.

Finalist candidates will be expected to provide recent, relevant references. The successful candidate will be expected to provide official transcripts to show proof of academic achievements.

To serve you better, NSCC has implemented a new, user-friendly online application with CareerBeacon. First time users to the system (as well as previous applicants who were registered with Workopolis/CorporateWorks) will complete a basic registration and receive a username and password via email from CareerBeacon. (NOTE: email may appear in "Junk Mail" folder depending upon your mail management configuration). You will then have the option of uploading your existing resume(s) and cover letter(s) in seconds or creating them on-the-spot in the "editor".

NSCC is a learning-centred organization, and as such we are committed to helping every NSCC employee become a life-long learner. Our commitment to our employees is to provide eligibility in pursuing learning in any of our College programs.

Our Community College Education Diploma Program (CCEDP) is designed to prepare new faculty members for their roles as adult educators and leaders in applied post secondary education, and is also open to every employee of the College.

The Faculty Learning College Portfolio is a voluntary learning activity where participating Faculty embark on a five-year learning opportunity, which begins with the development of a learning plan as a proposal for their five-year learning journey.

NSCC's Leadership Exploration Awareness Program (LEAP) is a learning program designed to empower our support staff, enhancing their individual and collective contribution to the advancement of NSCC.

Our annual two-day Support Staff Learning Conference for employees in administrative support positions and Facilities Support Learning Conference for employees in the maintenance and facilities area are two very popular and well-attended learning opportunities.

NSCC is one of the largest employers in Nova Scotia. We provide opportunity to work with leading-edge technology and to learn from experienced colleagues. NSCC offers an extensive assortment of development opportunities through our Organizational Learning team for all employees of the College. Employee tuition assistance is available to facilitate lifelong learning as well as tuition assistance to students enrolled full-time in core programs at the College who are dependent daughters and sons or spouses of NSCC employees.
