High Liner Foods is the leading North American processor and marketer of value-added frozen seafood. Our retail branded products are sold throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico under the High Liner, Fisher Boy, Mirabel and Sea Cuisine labels, and are available in most grocery and club stores. We also sell branded products under the High Liner, Icelandic Seafood, FPI, Viking, Mirabel, Samband of Iceland and American Pride Seafoods labels to restaurants and institutions, and we are the major supplier of private label value-added frozen seafood products to North American food retailers and food service distributors.

The company began in 1899 with the founding of W.C. Smith & Company, a salt fish operation located in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia -- the current home of our head office . On December 20, 2007 the Company acquired the North American marketing and manufacturing business of Fishery Products International. On December 13, 2010 the Company purchased the assets of Viking Seafoods, Inc. On December 19, 2011 we purchased Icelandic USA, Inc. and several other subsidiaries of Icelandic Group hf. On October 1, 2013 we acquired the principal assets and operations of American Pride Seafoods LLC from American Seafoods Group LLC.

Today, we are North America's largest marketer of frozen value added seafood products.

The Corporate Head Office is located in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia and we are publicly traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol HLF.

In Canada, High Liner Foods is based in Concord, Ontario and focuses on serving the Canadian retail and food service markets. It is the home of High Liner, Canada's leading frozen processed seafood brand. The Lunenburg, Nova Scotia processing plant completes the Canadian operations.

In the United States, High Liner Foods is headquartered in Danvers, Massachusetts and oversees all frozen seafood production and distribution for the retail, club and food service markets in the USA. Plants in Portsmouth, New Hampshire; Newport News, Virginia; New Bedford, Massachusetts; and Malden, Massachusetts; produce a wide variety of value added seafood products.

Within these various divisions, there are many diverse paths to success: accounting, engineering, finance, food science, human resources, logistics, information technology, management, marketing, procurement, quality assurance, and sales.
