| The Saint John River Valley has many of the attributes of the city but with a rural twist. The region is home to two golf courses, two civic centers, a AAA Hockey Team, The Andrew & Laura McCain Gallery, libraries, and beautiful historic homes. There are many historical/tourism sites including the Longest Covered Bridge in the world which draws over 60,000 tourists to our region annually. There are a variety of activities available including snowmobiling, hiking & cycling to name a few, while the retail sector is booming with a variety of shops and a movie theatre. |

The Carleton Region is strategically located at the gateway to the Northeastern United States. Many of the communities in the Carleton Region are less than 10 kilometres from the Canada / United States border and the I-95. With 75 million consumers living within a 1,000-mile radius of the Carleton Region, it is in a prime location to be of service to the people of both the U.S. Northeast and Eastern Canada.
The region is also ideally located in an area that has a number of options when dealing with the use of airports. Major airports such as Bangor International Airport or Halifax International Airport are within several hours' driving distance. Other smaller feeder airports such as Moncton or Fredericton provide a number of connector flights to and from major US Northeast and Eastern Canadian business destinations. |

| The Carleton Region is growing every day, with new businesses opening and existing businesses expanding. There are many public schools, New Brunswick Community College Woodstock, accessible child care, hospitals, and plenty of extracurricular activities. The Carleton Region boasts an unemployment rate of 8.3% which is lower than the Provincial average of 10.5%. There are career opportunities available in all sectors.
