The Day & Ross Transportation Group, formally
Day& Ross
Inc., was launched June 6, 1950. Its first
contract was to
haul potatoes from New Brunswick to
Quebec.
Incorporated February 15, 1963, The Day & Ross Transportation
Group has been a member of the McCain Group of Companies since
1966.
Currently, the Day & Ross Transportation Group has about
4100 employees
and owner operators, with more than 80 terminals and other operations
across
Canada and
the United States.
Considered one of the largest transportation companies in Canada,
The Day & Ross
Transportation Group offers transportation and logistics services
through five functional divisions,
Day & Ross Inc., Fastrax Transportation, Sameday Right-O-Way,
McCain Transport and
Dedicated Contract Logistics. Day & Ross (Nfld.) Ltd. is
a separate operating division responsible
for all Day & Ross Inc. and Sameday Right-O-Way activities
in Newfoundland.

The flagship trucking operation is Day & Ross
Inc., a
general freight carrier based in Hartland, NB, with
services across Canada and an established network
of U.S. and Mexican partner carriers. It handles
LTL, TL, and temperature controlled services.

Fastrax Transportation, based in Florenceville,
NB, offers flatbed, heavy haul and drop deck, temperature
controlled and dry van services throughout North America
and Intermodal services across Canada.

Sameday Right-O-Way, based in Toronto,
ON, is the courier, express and air cargo division, handling
a full range of time-definite service options throughout
North America and internationally.

Dedicated Contract Logistics is a third
party contract carriage division based in Toronto, ON,
specializing in dedicated fleet operations.

McCain Transport is a US based trucking
division offering the transportation of controlled temperature
commodities.
